Retaining Walls & Concrete Masonry
Strong, attractive retaining walls that manage slopes, prevent erosion, and add usable space to your property.

Why You Need a Retaining Wall
Sloped yards create challenges. Erosion washes soil away, landscaping is hard to maintain, and usable space gets wasted. A retaining wall solves these problems by holding back soil and creating level areas. Whether you need to protect your foundation from sliding earth, create terraced garden beds, or add a level patio area, a well-built retaining wall gets the job done.
We have been building retaining walls in Wichita Falls since 2024. From short decorative walls to tall structural walls, we handle residential and light commercial projects. Every wall we build is designed to handle the load it faces and built to last decades. This is engineering work as much as construction, and we take both seriously.
Types of Retaining Walls We Build
Different situations call for different wall types. We build what works best for your property:
- Poured concrete retaining walls for maximum strength
- Concrete block walls for versatility and cost-effectiveness
- Decorative segmental block walls that look great
- Reinforced masonry walls for taller applications
- Gravity walls for shorter height changes
- Tiered wall systems for steep slopes
Wall height, soil conditions, drainage, and load all factor into choosing the right type. Walls over 4 feet tall typically need engineering. We work with local engineers when needed and follow their specifications exactly. Your wall needs to be safe and code-compliant, not just look good.
Building Walls That Last
The most important part of any retaining wall is what you do not see. A proper foundation, good drainage behind the wall, and adequate reinforcement make the difference between walls that last and walls that fail.
We excavate below frost line and pour solid footings. Behind the wall, we install drainage systems to relieve water pressure. That pressure is what causes most wall failures. We also backfill with the right material and compact it properly. These steps add time and cost, but they are not optional if you want a wall that holds up.
Reinforcement matters too. Steel rebar in concrete walls, proper tie systems in block walls, and geogrid reinforcement when needed all add strength. We build to engineering specs and local codes so your wall performs as designed.
Adding Function and Beauty
Retaining walls do not have to be ugly. Decorative block systems come in colors and textures that complement any home. Poured concrete can be finished smooth, textured, or stamped for decorative effects. We can also add features like built-in seating, planters, or lighting.
Your retaining wall should solve your slope problem and enhance your property. We work with you on design to balance function, appearance, and budget. Whether you want something simple and practical or decorative and detailed, we build it right.
